Join CIG/CRSS on Tuesday, March 26th for a Webinar hosted by the University of Waterloo
Prof. Linlin Xu from University of Waterloo will be presenting:
High-Resolution Transformer for Pan-Arctic Sea Ice Classification using Sentinel-1 SAR Images.
"Although high-resolution pixel-level Pan-Arctic sea ice mapping is critical to support many important applications, it is a difficult task due to SAR noise effects and the complex and weak signature of sea ice. We design a high-resolution transformer approach with tailor designed local and global modules, and an edge-consistency loss to better address this challenge."
Prof. Grant Gunn from University of Waterloo will be presenting:
Radar interactions and applications for freshwater ice.
"This talk will present recent findings for radar interactions with freshwater ice, discussing how knowledge of the scattering mechanisms will provide improved retrieval algorithms for current and future satellite missions."
