Apply by May 13, 2024 In this role, you will strategically apply surveying legislation and policies to develop and support our geodetic positioning and mapping systems. Effective client service and strong project management skills are essential as you collaborate closely with the Director of Surveys to manage operations and deliver sound geomatics engineering solutions. You will coordinate and facilitate strategies related to spatial referencing design alternatives, communicate these strategies to internal and external stakeholders, and provide support to municipalities and others for maintaining the Alberta geodetic spatial referencing system. Additionally, you will maintain and update the Multipurpose Alberta Survey Control Operations and Tasks (MASCOT) survey system and provide technical support to internal and external clients on issues related to geo-positioning. As a representative of the Government of Alberta, you will actively participate at provincial and national levels on various issues related to surveying, geodesy, and mapping. You will also provide supervision and leadership to the Geodetic Control Unit Technologists to ensure effective management of the unit and contribute to its ongoing success.
